An interdisciplinary team from the University of Geneva and CNRS recently explored the dietary past of a village in Basse-Casamance, Senegal using waste from a 20th-century dump. Their study, published in PLOS ONE, aims to understand food habits through ceramology, chemistry, archaeozoology and archaeobotany.
