About
The history of a media-university collaboration
Since 2009, a collaboration agreement has linked the universities of the Triangle Azur (University of Geneva, University of Lausanne, and University of Neuchâtel) to Radio Television Suisse (RTS). This initiative aims to provide the general public with impartial and clear insights into current issues, thanks to the expertise of researchers from French-speaking Swiss universities.
In 2013, this collaboration led to the creation of the website www.avisdexperts.ch, which gathers all contributions from researchers from French-speaking Switzerland to RTS, whether on television, radio, or online.
In 2020, the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Western Switzerland (HES-SO) joined the Avisdexperts.ch platform, thus expanding the circle of partner institutions, which already includes EPFL, the UNIFR, IHEID, CHUV, and HUG.
In 2024, RSI Radiotelevisione svizzera, along with the University of Italian Switzerland and the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI), gave a new dimension to the Avisdexperts.ch platform, developing it into a multilingual site.
What is Avisdexperts.ch?
Avisdexperts.ch is an online platform offering full access to interviews with experts in the humanities and hard sciences, broadcasted by RTS and RSI, from Swiss academic institutions.
These experts are regularly interviewed in their fields of specialization, to shed light on the world and society in which we live. The platform highlights the richness of the democratic debate encouraged by public service partners.
Avisdexperts.ch pursues three main objectives:
- To provide the public with a reliable and transparent science outreach portal.
- Offer journalists a tool for identifying experts.
- To offer experts a means of recognition and communication.
