Analyzing ancient DNA, it's possible to reconstruct genealogical lineages from the past in order to study the family organization of our ancestors. A recent study involving the analysis of 57 genomes dating back to the Iron Age showed that in a village in southern England, couples lived close to the wife's family after marriage.
