Trisomy 21: research reaches a new milestone

Down syndrome, or trisomy 21, is one of the most common genetic diseases. To gain a better understanding of how a supernumerary copy of chromosome 21 can impact the human body right from development, researchers from the University of Geneva (UNIGE) and ETH Zurich (ETHZ) have analyzed the proteins of Down's syndrome sufferers for the first time.
