The neuron that enables patients to walk again identified in Lausanne

Researchers in Lausanne who succeeded in getting nine paralyzed patients walking again have identified the type of neuron that is activated and remodeled by their technique of electrical stimulation of the spinal cord. This work is published in the journal Nature.
