An implant to restore walking in Parkinson's patients

Severely handicapped by his Parkinson's disease, a patient can now walk almost normally thanks to a system of electrodes attached to his spinal cord. This breakthrough is the work of a Lausanne-based scientific team specializing in neuroscience.
