Amazonian sardines, a good indicator of human impact on the environment

The Amazon River is home to the world's greatest biodiversity of freshwater fish. And it's thanks to the Amazonian sardine, and with the help of statistical models and genetic analyses, that researchers at the University of Geneva have managed to understand the genesis of this biodiversity.
