What impact does the environment have on evolution?

A new method reveals the course of evolution in different warm and humid regions of Europe. Developed by researchers at the Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research and the University of Lausanne, it tells us that birds and mammals adapted to the cold earlier in their evolution than cold-blooded amphibians and reptiles.
