Extreme temperatures are making our trees sweat, and that isnʹt good news

A study by the Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research reveals that trees absorb less CO₂ and lose more water as soon as the mercury rises above 30°C. A reduction in CO2 absorption that impacts on air quality but also, and above all, on tree photosynthesis, which impairs their growth and development.
