What are we going to do with these billions of disposable masks?

The surgical masks used to combat the spread of Covid-19 are made of polypropylene, i.e. plastic. But we're finding more and more of them on the ground, on sidewalks or even beaches. Should we prepare ourselves for a gigantic pollution?
