A seasonal fruit: the persimmon

It originated in China and Japan. In Latin, it was called the fruit of the gods. Its properties are linked to carotenoids, vitamins (60 mg per 100 grams of fresh fruit), lycopene, sugars (fructose and glucose), low lipid content, high fiber content (2-3 grams of fiber per 100 grams of fresh fruit), pectin and tannins. An excellent anti-constipation fruit.
