Plastic, an enemy of the environment

With 27 kg per capita per year, Swiss households are major consumers of plastic packaging. In our country, only a quarter of this packaging is recycled. Most of this is PET bottles used for beverages. Apart from PET, other plastic bottles with caps or closures can be returned to supermarkets, which send them for recycling.
