The La Tène archaeological site

Identified in 1857, the La Tène site on the shores of the Bas-Lac de Neuchâtel in Switzerland immediately caught the attention of scientists due to the quality and importance of the artefacts found. But not only that: archaeologists the world over have decided to give its name, La Tène, to the 2nd Iron Age.
