Principals Zurich would be the first city in Switzerland to switch to the Reformation in 1525. Behind this radical change of faith and social organization, one man: Ulrich Zwingli. He was a contemporary of Luther, and while he was inspired by the monk from Wittenberg, he was also inspired by Erasmus of Rotterdam. In the end, it's a particular Reformation that he develops, emphasizing the complementarity between Church and State to build a more equitable society.
