A study conducted by Basel University and Basel University Hospital shows that the Swiss population greatly overestimates the chances of survival following cardiac arrest. Only one in ten people survive such an event if it occurs outside hospital. The authors of the lʹétude therefore call for better information for the population. Particularly with regard to post-trauma cognitive damage, which affects half of all survivors.
