Researchers from the Emergency Department of the University Hospitals of Geneva (HUG) conducted a study on the survival of people who suffered cardiopulmonary arrest in Geneva between 2009 and 2012. The results show a near doubling of patient survival thanks to improvements in the quality of advanced care provided by pre- and in-hospital emergency departments.
