Slowing down the aging process thanks to a molecule derived from pomegranates

An EPFL laboratory has succeeded in isolating a molecule from pomegranates which, when transformed by intestinal bacteria, has a positive effect on cell regeneration. Tested on small worms and rats, the molecule extends lifespan without genetic manipulation. This molecule, if also effective on humans, could help combat age-related diseases.
