Shaping organs from cells

A team of engineers from the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne has discovered a technique for shaping living tissue like dough. The aim is to grow artificial organs from human or animal cells. A development that would make it possible to overcome the shortage of male and female donors and the many rejections after transplants.
