A glass slide that could revolutionize fluorescence microscopy

A team of scientists at the Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) has developed a new type of glass slide for fluorescence microscopy. The EPFL researchers have modified the coating on the slides, resulting in changes to the optical capabilities of the glass slides, and making it possible to increase the sensitivity of the microscope.
