Racism and other forms of discrimination are recurring phenomena that are increasingly well understood by different sciences. Humans are social beings and their brains function by making categories. This is very effective in many everyday situations. Unfortunately, there is only one step from category to prejudice... and one last step from prejudice to discrimination.
