The hymen, a little-known membrane

The function of this membrane located at the lʹentrée of the vagina, which separates the vulva from the vaginal cavity, remains poorly understood and controversial even on the scientific side. There is also confusion in the link made between its tearing, the flow of blood that can ensue and a pledge of virginity.
