Scientists at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne have developed nano-chips that can trap and manipulate bacteria and virions (the infectious form of a virus). A technique that enables bacteriophages - bacteria-eating viruses - to be selected more efficiently and rapidly than when using chemical markers or bioreceptors, two methods used today.
