In Switzerland, an estimated half a million people suffer from diabetes. In the past, to relieve the symptoms of the disease, a dose of the hormone lʹinsulin had to be injected several times a day with a syringe. Today, patients can wear a blood glucose sensor that gives instructions to an insulin pump that injects it directly into the body.
