The epigenetic link between childhood maltreatment and adult psychosis

A study conducted at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience at King's College London has demonstrated the link between childhood abuse and an increased risk of developing psychosis in adulthood. Published in the journal Molecular Psychiatry, the study is the first to examine the link between childhood trauma and epigenetic changes in the DNA of people with psychosis.
