CO2 emitted by mountain streams

Mountain streams around the world emit an unexpected amount of CO2. This news comes from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL). The study extends to a global scale a previous discovery made in early 2019 on Swiss streams. This result demonstrates the importance of including these watercourses in the global carbon cycle.
