Debating with an AI can change your mind

A study by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne has investigated the persuasive power of large language models such as ChatGPT 4.0. Participants in this study interacted with the lʹIA, which had access to their personal data, on randomly selected topics. The result: people who debated with artificial intelligence were much more likely to change their minds than those who confronted other human beings.
