The challenges and hopes of Parkinson's treatments

Parkinson's disease affects around 15,000 people in Switzerland, mainly aged between 65 and 70, although it can appear earlier. This neurodegenerative disease causes symptoms such as tremors, slowness of movement, and muscle stiffness, due to the progressive loss of dopamine-producing neurons in the brain.
