What does the language of populists tell us?

The victory of Donald Trump and the rise in Europe of the new populisms are accompanied by a stereotypical discourse that castigates "political correctness", the "bien-pensance", the "elites", the "politico-media" system. As if the world were divided in two: on one side, those who lie and profit from globalization; on the other, those who speak to the people and defend them, who have understood the ills of our societies and dare to fight them. How does this rhetoric thrive?
