Understanding the world through comics

In ten years, the total production of French-language comics has doubled, rising between 2003 and 2013 from 2,526 to 5,159 titles. This corresponds to more than 400 releases per month! The offer is dense and diversified, but if there's one area where comics authors have really stood out in recent years, it's in their singular way of expressing the ills of our times, whether autobiographically, in the form of reportage or fierce criticism.
