"Trash DNA" implicated in certain malformations

Noncoding DNA plays a role in lʹactivation and gene regulation. This is the result of a study which shows that certain malformations or congenital diseases may be due to this "junk DNA". This result reinforces our knowledge of this part (98%) of DNA, long considered useless.
