Towards personalized anesthesia

Live monitoring of the level of anaesthetic in the blood during an operation is the device devised by the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne and the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois. A sensor-equipped needle system, based on an artificial intelligence system, measures propofol concentration during the operation.
