Thousands of tons of Swiss Army ammunition still lie dormant at the bottom of our lakes. While this somewhat casual burial practice ceased in the early 1970s, these munitions are waste products whose management seems to be an exception to the various ordinances on the subject. For the time being, there is no question of cleaning up the site and salvaging the waste. What dangers can we fear for both the environment and human safety?
