On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong became the first human being to set foot on the moon. In the context of the Cold War, only the greatest powers had the means to set up a space program. Fifty years later, hundreds of satellites orbit the Earth, exoplanets have been detected at the edge of the universe and a dozen tourists have already spent their vacations in orbit.
