School closures multiply in rural Switzerland

A sharp drop in enrolments has been observed in the Swiss countryside. In Haut-Valais, class closures have been announced for next year, and the authorities in La Chaux-de-Fonds have just announced the closure of two middle schools from the start of the new school year.
