Pregnancy and medication: a CHUV study provides reassurance about taking GLP1 receptor agonists
Légende
A study by the Clinical Pharmacology Department of the Vaud University Hospital, published in the "British Medical Journal Open", provides reassuring data on the use of so-called GLP1 receptor agonist drugs (GLP1-RA: Saxenda, Wegovy, Ozempic...) in early pregnancy. These drugs, prescribed for type 2 diabetes and obesity, have shown no risk of malformations in exposed children, nor of an increase in miscarriages.
