Morphine shortage hits Switzerland

Oral opioids, particularly morphine-based preparations, are not available in sufficient quantities in Switzerland. Faced with supply difficulties, the Swiss government has decided to authorize the dispensing of morphine in fractionated quantities for a limited period of time.
