How many exoplanets are home to life?

The grail of 21st-century astronomy is undoubtedly the discovery of life in the universe. Researchers at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne are taking a step towards this goal. Their study makes it possible to calculate how many planets could harbor life outside our solar system.
