Over 40 degrees in the shade in Athens, tourists asked to evacuate in Rhodes or Sicily and holidaymakers suffocating in Spain: for several weeks now, extreme temperatures have been turning vacations upside down. As a result, the countries of the South are experiencing a drop in visitor numbers, to the benefit of those of the North.
