In Pontavedra, Spain. Over 15 years ago, cars were virtually banned from the town center. Motorists are asked to park in large, free outdoor parking lots just a 10-minute walk from the center, and public transport has been reduced to a minimum. Now pedestrian-friendly, the streets are busy and shops are doing more business than ever before, as people linger longer on café terraces and shop in grocery stores. Could we do the same in Switzerland?
