End-of-life habits are changing. Most people now prefer cremation to lʹensevelissement. In some communes, it is possible to deposit the ashes of a deceased person at the foot of a tree in the forest, in a forest cemetery or cinerary forest. This is the case in Yverdon and Bienne, and soon in Lausanne. How can we explain this new practice? What does it say about our relationship with death, with nature?
