Former watchmaking workshops contaminated by radium

The University of Berne has just published a report on former watchmaking workshops potentially contaminated by radium, a highly radioactive metal. The list is long: nearly 1,000 occurrences, mainly in the Jura Arc. Even though radium has not been used for almost 60 years, some of these sites, now residential areas, may need to be decontaminated.
