Every Helvetian travels an average of 30 kilometers a day, mostly by car

Swiss men and women traveled an average of 30 kilometers a day in 2021. That's 6.8 kilometers less than in the Federal Statistical Office's previous microcensus on mobility and transport in 2015. The main reason given for this decline is Covid-19. The car remains the queen of travel.
