1959: nine experienced hikers on an expedition are found dead in the Ural Mountains of the former USSR. Despite the investigation, the authorities are unable to explain these mysterious disappearances, so much so that theories will speak of Yeti or secret military experiments. "Lʹaffaire du col de Dyatlov" was born. 62 years later, researchers at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne and Zurich have used modelling techniques to demonstrate the probable cause of these mysterious deaths: a delayed avalanche.
