In Switzerland, from the age of 75, all car drivers must undergo a medical check-up to confirm their fitness to drive. A compulsory medical check-up that is sometimes resented; loss of freedom, loss of autonomy, loss of self-esteem, the loss of a driver's license is for some synonymous with the beginning of the end.
