The dictatorship of happiness

The Swiss population is happy overall. It does not even doubt the meaning of lʹexistence, according to a study by the Swiss National Science Foundation. So why so many books on the quest for personal happiness? Why does this feeling that our neighbor is always happier than we are never leave us?
