At the dawn of symbolic thinking

Parietal and cave art still amaze despite the millennia that separate us from them. The complexity of the representations, mostly animal dʹailleurs, in the caves or on the walls, attests to an elaborate form of symbolic thought. For anthropologists and prehistorians, this thought of a space-time conducive to projections would mark the advent of modern man, of the homo sapiens type.
