Coma: is it a life?

Coma is a mysterious state. While the concept has been widely discussed in recent months around the covid crisis, that doesnʹt mean it has become any less intriguing. Coma is first and foremost an alteration of consciousness. And when consciousness disappears, what remains of identity? And what kind of life project can we offer people in a coma?
