Chikungunya on the rise in Switzerland

Cases of infection by the chikungunya virus are on the rise. Fifteen cases were recorded in the country during the first six months of 2014. That's three times more than the previous year. This virus is transmitted by the tiger mosquito from Southeast Asia.
