Cape Verde is the third African country to eradicate malaria

Cape Verde, an island state with half a million inhabitants, is the third country in Africa to have successfully eradicated malaria. It thus joins Mauritius, which eliminated it definitively in 1973, and Algeria, in 2019, on the World Health Organizationʹs list.
