Cannabis: behind the smoking screen

Even though a third of the population has smoked weed or hashish in its lifetime, and 300,000 people use it regularly, Switzerland still considers cannabis a narcotic product, regulated by the Federal Law on Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances. At a time when pilot trials for the legal distribution of recreational cannabis are seeing the light of day in several cities, are we taking enough time to measure the effects of this substance on the psyche and health of consumers?
